We’ve all been there. It’s your first day on the job. You’re supposed to meet with… shoot. What was her name again?
You walk through the door, palms are sweaty and you have NO idea where to go. You find your desk, shake a few hands and notice there’s a stack of paperwork waiting for you to read, sign and return. Suddenly, you realize you’ve already forgotten everyones name and you need to ask for help.
This is not something only I’ve experienced. We’ve all been there in one way or another. It’s your first day and you’re a bit disoriented. It could be a small start-up, or a multi-million dollar organization where you’re just one cog in the machine. Regardless of an organization's size, the employee onboarding experience plays a key role in an employees relationship with the company, their peers and their job.
